DJI Avinox: Why There Are No Error Codes
The DJI Avinox drive system does not use a public error code table. Faults appear as plain-text warnings on the touchscreen. Open Settings, then System Status, to see the warning details and recommended steps. For recurring faults, export the error log from the Support section of the Avinox Ride app and send it to your bike brand or DJI Support.
Check battery seating and charge level first.
The drive must not be dismantled or modified. Internal motor or battery faults are dealer or authorized service only.
Firmware updates run through the Avinox Ride app, and a failed update also requires the dealer.
SRAM, TQ, Mahle and Other App-Based Systems
Newer drive systems from SRAM (Eagle Powertrain), TQ and Mahle mostly skip numeric code tables. They report faults as plain-language messages in their apps (SRAM AXS, TQ, My SmartBike). Mahle X35 additionally signals states with LED colours on the iWoc button. The universal first steps are the same: restart the system, check battery seating and contacts, check the speed sensor magnet, update firmware in the app, then contact the dealer.
Error Code Not Found? What to Do
If your code is not in our database, it may be a manufacturer-specific code from a newer firmware version. Check your bike manual, the manufacturer app (Bosch eBike Flow, Shimano E-TUBE, Giant RideControl), or contact your dealer with the exact code displayed. Speed Sensor Errors: The Most Common Fix
Speed sensor errors (Bosch 503/504, Shimano E014, Yamaha 02) are the most common e-bike errors and the easiest to fix yourself. The spoke magnet must be 5 to 8mm from the sensor face, aligned squarely. If the magnet rotated on the spoke (common after wheel removal), the signal is lost. Check: spin the wheel slowly and watch if the magnet passes directly in front of the sensor. Adjust by rotating the magnet on the spoke. If the magnet fell off, replacement magnets cost 2 to 5 EUR / 2 to 6 USD.
Motor Overtemperature: Prevention Tips
Motor overheating (Bosch 510, Shimano E020, Yamaha 06) is not a fault. It is a protection feature. Prevent it by using lower assist modes on long climbs. Use Eco or Tour mode on climbs over 500m of vertical, avoid sustained Turbo on steep grades in hot weather, and keep the motor housing clean for airflow.

Can I ride my e-bike with an error code?

How do I reset my e-bike error code?
Power cycle: turn off the system, wait 10 seconds, turn on. If that does not clear it: remove the battery, wait 60 seconds, reinstall. This works the same on all systems, including Bosch legacy, Bosch Smart System, Shimano STEPS and Bafang, and clears roughly a third of transient errors. If the error returns after reset, the underlying problem still exists and needs fixing (sensor adjustment, cable repair, or dealer service).
What is the difference between Bosch legacy and Bosch Smart System error codes?
Smart System (2022+) pairs with the eBike Flow app, supports over-the-air updates and adds app diagnostics. Several code numbers exist in both generations with different meanings, for example 410, 460, 500 and 530, so identify your system first. If your bike pairs with the eBike Flow app it is Smart System, otherwise it is a legacy system.
Why does my DJI Avinox not show an error code?
Avinox uses plain-text warnings and the System Status menu instead of codes. Open Settings, then System Status, to read the warning and the recommended steps. Export the error log in the Support section of the Avinox Ride app for service.
