Frequently asked questions
What are the official triathlon distances?
World Triathlon (ITU) defines four standard distances: Sprint (750m/20km/5km), Olympic (1,500m/40km/10km), 70.3 Half Ironman (1,900m/90km/21.1km), and Full Ironman (3,800m/180km/42.2km).
Which triathlon distance should a beginner choose?
Start with a Sprint triathlon (750m/20km/5km). It takes 1–2 hours and needs only 8–12 weeks of training. After a Sprint, most athletes progress to Olympic distance within 6–12 months.
How do I estimate my triathlon finish time?
Use the Finish Time Calculator — enter your swim pace, bike speed and run pace. For a rough estimate: multiply swim distance by your pace per 100m, divide bike distance by your average speed, multiply run distance by your pace per km, then add 5–10 minutes for transitions.
